uncle charlieSend uncle charlie a message :   Guy Juke called me the other day. Said he was upset by the divisive gap between young and old poster artist. Said he needed a hero like Jermaine to unite the scene.   2003-08-07 09:41:00

jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   My mom probably saw this show. The Armadillo was her favorite hang out back in the day. Its a legend. many legends were born there basically, Janis, Stevie?, many many more.   2002-10-13 11:15:55
seripopSend seripop a message :   well he's talented at drawing and lettering but not at layout or interacting with the viewer. the text and image look totally divorced from each other and stylistically clash i will say he can draw like a mutha but i'm not impressed by this as a poster.   2002-10-13 11:12:36
jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   and its from the 70's and is still very relevant to me. The man, Guy Juke, is an austin design legend...I was just curoius of your taste since you respect and like hand done work...this is. No bait - I would not do that.   2002-10-13 11:12:11

seripopSend seripop a message :   i feel likei'm being baited here but i will say i think this is weak. the illustration is nice an' creapy but overall i don't think it's a very good poster. did the desinger draw this or is it just stolen with text slapped on?   2002-10-13 11:09:37

jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   This is AWESOME!!!!! Guy Juke is the GOD of poster naked chicks and shit just amazing illustration - it is beyond everything else - the type is hand done, the illustration is hand done, the layout - this shit sets a standard non of us can live up to. I am lucky to have grown up in Austin and have this and many others work from the past to inspire and guide. I am just fucking floored by this.   2002-10-13 10:37:05
