Beto RamirezSend Beto Ramirez a message :   Pearl Jam uses that logo nowadays, right?   2007-03-21 16:49:00
duncanmajorSend duncanmajor a message :   could probably play up the fact that the o of who is centrepoint of the circle   2007-03-21 16:48:32
duncanmajorSend duncanmajor a message :   the "smoke ring" is a reference to the who's famous logo. i think the type is fine. more daring than squiggly illegibles and more rock n roll.   2007-03-21 16:46:49
boadiceaSend boadicea a message :   some of this artists other work is really great.. like, very original and very well done... its just that a band like the Who could have so many artists giving it their best effort to make something great, or at least professional looking....   2007-03-17 21:03:07
gothraSend gothra a message :   God, this is pretty awful. I know it's not Anthony's fault (he has some amazing work): promoters can be so full of shit!   2007-03-17 20:38:39
boadiceaSend boadicea a message :   type is lazy and uninspired.. bad font and placements is he blowing a smoke ring out of his butt?
art would be much better without the type

duncanmajorSend duncanmajor a message :   vespa/triumph -- don't care the image looks cool and the type is clear and dynamic!   2007-03-17 13:42:41

steve wSend steve w a message :   I saw them on the Rolling Stones' Rock 'n Roll Circus on PBS last night. I love watching Keith Moon play drums. I'd seen the clip from Kids Are Alright, but they really stole the show.   2007-03-08 08:27:37
phoondaddySend phoondaddy a message :   My jacket's gonna be cut and slim and checked, Maybe a touch of seersucker, with an open neck. I ride a g.s. scooter with my hair cut neat, Wear my wartime coat in the wind and sleet.
I've Had Enough - Quadrophenia

mistake100Send mistake100 a message :   I don't know if I'd say The Who were ever actually mods... their management thought it would be good for sales if they dressed like mods and put out cash-in mod-related singles like "I'm the Face"... they are definitely totally linked to and identified with mod culture though so the motorbike illustration doesn't really work for me. That said, a mod on a vespa would have been way too obvious too... hmmm   2007-03-03 14:54:11
perkinsSend perkins a message :   I never liked the Who enough to argue about them.   2007-03-03 14:29:28
GrushkinSend Grushkin a message :   Yes, The Who rock. No, they were not rockers. They were Mods. Look it up. People were pretty damn political about that shit back then.   2007-03-02 15:38:21
KULICKSend KULICK a message :
here ya would work if there were a pack of mods ready to beat up the rocker i suppose
  2007-03-02 10:29:55
frostbiteSend frostbite a message :   i was a mod for two weeks after watching 'quadrophenia' but people laughed at me so i changed my mind   2007-03-02 10:23:30
perkinsSend perkins a message :   Watching Tommy freaked me out as a kid, especially the scene with the syringe cocoon.   2007-03-02 09:09:37
soupsandwichSend soupsandwich a message :   rent and watch Quadrophenia, that should settle it.   2007-03-02 09:05:31

John ASend John A a message :   ummm... the Who were never rockers in the mods/rockers sense.... not ever.   2007-03-02 08:53:17

phoondaddySend phoondaddy a message :   Poster Child educating Grushkin on music? LOL.   2007-03-02 08:37:11
steve wSend steve w a message :   they were Mods first. "held the title"??? you mean "called themselves" I like The Who   2007-03-02 08:35:44
PosterChildSend PosterChild a message :   boadicea: ouch. I gave several options to the promoter and this is the one they chose.
grushkin: yeah The Who were mods but were rockers first. Remember they held the title of loudest band on earth for all those years. The souped-up low-slung british bike (Triumph/Vincent) and those old-school goggles and helmet seemed to fit for me.
