"Anything fllipping the bird seems kinda cheesey to me. It's right up there with putting sunglases on an animal."
Classic. That's this poster in a nutshell.
She looks like someone who would attend a NOFX show, but the stuff around it looks too slick. Great execution, though.
do a search in the forums for NOFX. There is a thread about them and the Triple Rock I started. the image should be posted there, and on rare occasion someone will sell one on ebay.
I am familiar with NOFX, and I love pop music.
I'll defend to the death your right to make it, but I'm still not buying it.
Just my personal taste.
Very talented illustration, none the less.
when NOFX filmed their video at the Triple Rock, I did a poster that all the extras got to have. It was Jesus flipping the bird, and drinking a bottle of 'Holy Spirits'
Har har!
beautiful, I've been waiting forever to see a good NOFX poster.
i have to kind of agree with seabury, i think christ flipping the bird would have suit that band better. the song "i'm going to hell for this one" from never trust a hippie would inspire the best poster ever.
truth be told, they have gone extremely poppy, which justifys the content given second thought.
i think actually el hefe plays the trumpet in NOFX? john, im not sure if youre familiar with NOFX, but this actually fits them really well. a tiny bit of class surrounded by alot of absurdity and brashness.
Heh...didn't notice those.
I see where you're coming from, John. This is pretty slick. The illustrations of the members as wolves is killer. I wanna get with this lady.
"She's got attitude."
When I was young, a million years ago,
"attitude", when used alone to describe a person, had only negative connotations e.g., "he's a great guitar player, too bad he has an attitude"
Ever since the eighties, it's been used as only a positive, even though it still means the same thing.
This poster has every old, tired, "alternative" cliche crammed into it.
It looks like it was commisioned by some big corp to sell a new line of "punk" clothes or temporary tatoos.
Sorry if I offend the artist, it's really well executed, I'm just not buying it, literally or otherwise.
Beyond The Pale Posters Australia.
NOFX & the punters loved it. It was merched at the shows here. Daymon Greulich is a very talented artist. Expect more posters from him.

too slick for punks? nofx aren't punk anymore so you gotta take that into consideration. i dig it all but the reflected mohawk dudes, and the crossed bones. nice illustration!
