ensurancetrapSend ensurancetrap a message :   Sadly it is not split fountain. Rather, it is actually just designed to be easily copied (cheaply), since neither I nor the band have the resources to do any printing like that.
Again, thanks for the comments!

ensurancetrapSend ensurancetrap a message :   In all honesty, there wasn't any particular plan in my head when I began making this. I was really just playing around because I saw that my friend's band only had some really hideous posters for this show they had planned. So my design efforts were more just me playing around than anything else.
Anyway: The grey bar in the background does not have any particular significance, other than to add...something. The typeface was chosen because "Dayplayer" reminds me of 70s-roller-skating imagery, and so did the font. The information is right-aligned simply because I felt it balanced out the text and logo slanting to the left.
I appreciate you taking a look and showing interest!

ImJustRickGSend ImJustRickG a message :   Seriously: I'd like to know about what went in to designing this.
For instance, what is the significance of the grey bar in the background? What made you pick that particular typeface? Why is it right-aligned?
Tell us about your process.
