Janson Munn's coiled snake maybe was the best use of the tone-arm on a LP shape.
It doesn't really work for me. The thumb print's oval shape doesn't say record. I've seen the "needle on the not a record" idea executed better.
Dig it. Super creative. It says a lot... plus I love the little 'goodie' details Emek typically and very subtley adds in there.

I think all the "little details" like the skull and heart are small enough to where it's nothing more than a pleasant surprise when you really look at it close, more so than competing. Just my 2 cents though as I really like it.
oh yeah and i just noticed the heart in the middle - so...three competing visuals
I like the fingerprint record idea...I think it works well here. The skull needle jobber is too much tho - two competing visuals
what a cool mixture of mechanical and forensic. nice job man !
i changed my mind, i really like it.
when will it be available?
i think it works!
yes, very nice. i agree the heart and the skull is a great touch.
And the heart at the fingerprint's center, too.
cool concept, love the skull at the end of the record arm which is a nice touch
Kills. So much.
I got a few Emek's that deserve framing. I should add this one to the list. If it's not Emek's fingerprint, there's probably a story behind whosever it is.
sweet..now I can frame Emek for every illegal thing that I do under the sun...
Hell yes, great idea.
