Actually, the MC5 was probably an influence on the majority of the bands in this festival, especially the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs and the Soledad Brothers.
The White Stripes only had their first album out in 99. Wayne Kramer was the guitarist for MC5. Way more known than the White Stripes. Prolly a huge influence on Jack White.
Mark Dancy did all the Big Chief art and other stuff like Badmotorfinger. he has a really great style.
