The only thing worse than making a bad poster is making a good poster and noticing flaws. Bad posters you can ignore, but Christ, I can look at something I've done and love and just see that one area I forgot to shade even though I know that no one will notice or care.
haha the whole date line is fucked, spacing issues galore, but this was my first attempt at setting type by hand in a long time (since the first year into my major in school!).
i know youre just trying to be funny here, but believe me, ive noticed every fucked up thing on this poster this past week.
and that middot sucks, but there was no comma!
not really ... just happened that the first poster i did for them was the first poster that i did for this club, they liked it so much they asked me to do a bunch of other stuff for them. really nice bunch though ... and great live!
they asked me to do a tour poster for them too, and a promo for their upcoming record. :D
ps - no one needs to comment on your work, you know that shit is damn good.
i plan to do an homage to you with an all dayglo poster pretty soon ... ill keep ya posted.
jermaine - im waiting to get enough shit to send you a big ol' pile of stuff. believe me, i have 3 posters set aside for you already, i just wanna do it all at once.

Theres comments all over your stuff...so stop whining!
frank, i went to a photoshop seminar once, and the guy teaching it (the editor of Photoshop magazine) said "everytime you add a drop shadow to your work, you can add $50 to your invoice."
thank you ... geez, i thought no one would notice.
here is what i think i wrong with this poster:
i totally jacked the date line of text. like i said earlier, i set this by hand from xeroxed copies, and i did the date last ... by that time i was tired and bored.
there are some spacing issues on the bottom as well, but hey, not bad for the first time doing this since typography 1.
