Kozik, you should be happy to know that this poster was hanging proudly at O'cayz for years after that show. It was still up there the day O'cayz burned down last year. Ever been to O'cayz? It was an amazing place. Now Madison, WI has hardly anything.

See how the yellow fades from light to darker on the bear? And the blue goes from light to dark? The fountian is the area on the screen that hold the ink. A split fountain is when you mix different hues or even different colours on the same screen. On the blue the fountain would have had dark on the top of the screen and lighter at the bottom. Pulling th eflood blends the ink and creates the effect. Splitting the fountain.

i totally agree. If you can use it to enhance depth or whatever ir rocks. as the basic thrust of the poster it's lame. I did one piece(which I can't post cause it's for a cartoon show) we silkscreened like 6 or 7 different floods on all the colors and it looks awesome.

its classic, pure and simple. and it all flows so well together, the fish, then the lil doof, then the monstrous kodiak. all at a skewed angle that pulls the viewer in....
fuck i can't talk that technical shit, who'm i trying to fool. kinda relating to an earlier discussion, but i would never have heard of a bunch of the bands you've done posters for, but now i'm like killdozer? jawbreaker? sure, kozik did stuff for them. in reality, these posters are all i know them by.
