I've been trying to find this by looking up Man Ray images. I knew it had to be him or Dali.
Now the mystery is solved. I couldn't figure it out by reading the other comments because I had Man Ray and Dali in my brain.

In Toronto there is a guy named Reg Hart who has been posting B&W photocopies of this image all over the city for years. He has lots of old film prints and basically runs movie festivals out of his house on a small projector. Of course this is used to advertise his Dali/Bunuel nights.
I like the fact that you re-drew it and the blueish-white you used to make the eyes stand out. Cool stuff.
denny i see the eye at the very top of your poster. its a memorable image. i was listening to the pixies when i got the idea. not sure why they never used it. too literal? they used a monkey with a halo though. good day to you all.
