I never go into the Sound exchange any more. I order all the old vinyl I want online and I never want any of the new stuff. I just finished hooking up my turntable to my computer so I can rip my albums to mp3. I've got a mp3 car stereo that kicks ass! Driving around the Heights listening to old hardcore is definitely cool.
Bakos is still at the Sound Exchange, still building motorcycles and other handy shit.
Curt is there too. One time Curt let me into a show he promoted cause I rolled up some dope and put it in his hand. A man has got to love that kind of currancy.
Liberty Lunch is gone boo hoo
Jermaine- I had the screens Bakos used for the DRI stuff. He screened a buttload of the old shirts. He gave me the old screens when he was getting rid of his press. Bakos is one of my biggest mentors.
Is this derek hess inspired, or vice-versa with the use of visual puns, or are they universal and timeless in their usage and ownership.
Be honest. Did you create the visual pun?
Yea, I guess I did forget to mention her name. Bliss was SO nice at the store counter when you needed help...and she had this black dress that shed wear...wait. Everything she had was black.
Anyways, them was the days, man. Record Exchange's staff was Bliss Blood, Kurt, Chris, some other people I didnt know well, and Kevin Bakos ran the whole thing.
Frank, did you ever know Kevin Bakos. I think he did some artwork for like a DRI album cover?
I just did a search for 'PAIN TEENS' posters: none on this site. I thought of that band after talking about RECORD EXCHANGE, cause she worked there.
Dude, I had a crush on that girl BIG TIME, and she didnt even know my name.
