I actually went out to buy the Hives and up until the time I had it in my hands for some reason I expected this to be the cover. This kicks the shit outta their art. The CD is pretty catchy. My squeeze said "this sounds like an old band." She's right it's The Sonics. Just slightly more manic vocals kinda like Les Savy Fav but it has 1960's garage all over it...Good though. Not as good as this poster... |

Yeah, the NBT aren't the most exciting live band but together with the other two I think it would be a great bill. There is this band, "The Pattern" opening up for them in DC. I heard they're kinda in the Mod/Creation vein but people are all over the place when it comes to the M word. Anybody heard them? |

When squeezed between The Mooney Suzuki and The Hives...the New Bomb Turks, well, didn't hold up so well. I like them...but the other 2 bands just kicked their ass all over the place. |

Holy hot hell! I went to this show last night and The Hives put on one of the best shows I have ever seen. SO GOOD. Believe the hype. The Mooney Suzuki was also amamzing.

The hand image. I had asked Mr.Jeff Kleinsmith if he had any cool hand illustrations laying around for a project I was working on. And he graciously sent me several pages clip art hand images from Craphound magazine. I didn't end up using any of the images for the project that I was working on but thought this one was perfect for this poster.
And that's one exciting story! |
