I actually went out to buy the Hives and up until the time I had it in my hands for some reason I expected this to be the cover. This kicks the shit outta their art. The CD is pretty catchy. My squeeze said "this sounds like an old band." She's right it's The Sonics. Just slightly more manic vocals kinda like Les Savy Fav but it has 1960's garage all over it...Good though. Not as good as this poster...
Ouch! That was a bad pun.
Yeah, the NBT aren't the most exciting live band but together with the other two I think it would be a great bill. There is this band, "The Pattern" opening up for them in DC. I heard they're kinda in the Mod/Creation vein but people are all over the place when it comes to the M word. Anybody heard them?
I'm checkin' them out next weekend in DC. Can't wait. Although I would have loved to see them with the New Bomb Turks (who the Hives kinda sound like...). Great poster by the way. Love the "fade" on the black arrow.
wel.. i love this green, but i still like pink very much.. i don´t agree with that story of "in" "out" to deal with colors.. everything depends on how u use them.. and talking about diagonal lines.. oh yep!! it works almost everytime.. giving moviment and a transfomation feeling...
hey, i've got vector skull clipart if you need it..let me know what format you want (adobe illustrator?) and i'll email it to ya......(side view and front view)
wow, you guys trade clipart. i want in on that action!! fuck, ive been killing myself over finding the perfect anatomically correct skull image (dont worry, no flames attached - to the skull that is) that will reproduce well. i need a clean illustration. aasdjflaksjd!
rockin poster. definitely recognized it as an AA piece, which is pretty cool, since some designers are all over the place. like myself. sob.
anyways, great job.
