We did not design the album cover - we just adapted the paintings to a poster design. Because the design looks like a splatter on velvet wallpaper, we thought it would be great to print on velvet wallpaper. But it would cost $10 per poster just for the wallpaper. So we have the posters flocked with velvet. They are printed with glue and then an electrostatic plate pulls the flock to the paper at a high speed. There is a Sonic Youth Kool Thing poster with a black panther on it in flock but it's not a gig poster, otherwise we'd post that too.
