"Bycicle Joe do you live in Portland? Me too, i just moved from Mexico.. let me know where i can find poster galleries here please... and check out Delasonica too. Stay cool.
pd - let me know if Pearl Jam is going to be here someday."
Welcome to Stumptown. There are plenty of poster galleries around town. Start at Diesel Fuel, which prints Tara McPherson's and Kozik's stuff. Gary Houston's studio is in North Portland; Mike King works out of an old warehouse near OMSI. Emek is moving his family here and setting up shop next month. Pearl Jam is playing a benefit show at the Schnitz on July 20. So far, tickets start at $500.
Give the band a point, at least they did such great years... wanna remember? just check this!!! im sure you will cry for those years.

CCFA benefit? Is that the one planned for Portland, at a concert hall down the street from where I work, but for a price beyond the reach of my salary?
Wait til you see the CCFA benefit print :shamelessplug:
no one's going to jump on you for voicing your opinion joe, well that's not true but you know what I mean;)
Klausen showed me his Toronto poster and it has a "nod" to an Ames print that is cute, I'm gonna keep it vague but if you're a PJ/Ames fan you'll dig that detail.
That's the thing. I am a huge Ames fan. I own several from past tours. (Never been much of a Klausen fan, especially the design of the new CD, although the VFC neocon series was clever). I don't know. Maybe my tastes are changing, but the only prints I like so far this year are Boston whale and Grand Rapids. Sorry if I offend. I know it's tough to poduce so consistantly and I'm rooting for them.
I thought My Morning Jacket name was into the elephant's skin... hahaha... i would never find it... well.. Dissapointment?? I think you are the only one, dude.
"trippy" or "tripe-y"?
I meant what I said. Wild color combos, juxtaposition of imagery...it's a candy-coated version of what I'd imagine an acid trip to be like. I like.
Yeah that's pretty nuts, I could unerstand if you don't like Ames but if you're a fan of Ames and or Klausen i don't know how you could be dissapointed in this batch.
How come the other band never gets no love on PJ prints?
I know the prints are commissioned by PJ and all that but you need a magnifying glass to see that MMJ is on this poster.
