flowers blossoms and spring stuff,u gave it to em chap, can't argue with that.and no worries about the comments, your works great, its just cool to see other guys doing this kinda stuff cause its a lonely life being a poster artist all over here on my tod.
thanks steve and jeff. i think its possible for some people to have a certain perception of a band, and when something goes against it, maybe that's upsetting, i dunno. the more you like the band, the stronger you may feel about stuff relating to it. i don't feel strongely about anything, really. except my dog Boo, he's such a rascal. this isn't a favorite of mine, but the venue specifically asked for something with flowers and blossoms and spring stuff. i was considering having one bird taking a bite out of the others head, but in retrospect that might not have gone over very well. :-)
I think it works well. It loosley ties in with the cover art (branches) and echos the decidedly "Spring" feel of the music.
It's not my favorite of yours (and man, you've got some really great stuff!!) but I think it's well done.
i like black and white posters,i do most of mine in b/w too cause of the costs but theres a lot to be said for monochrome and hey, if it isn't deemed suitable for the band you can always say its juxtaposition ;-)
really? that suprises me. i thought it was actually more thought out than most of the ones i do....huh. anyways, sorry you don't like it. as for color, those cost more money, and venues don't really want to pay for silkscreening and offset printing. i wish it was in color (sigh).
