i think this one should go next to my QOTSA cain's ballroom poster.
i like that it's clean and in emek terms "simple". who's to say what represents high on fire and what doesn't. it's all up to each listener to determine that.
truly upping the ante.
Emek, everything you said makes complete sense and is well thought out. a beautiful statement, and extremely well executed. a 10!
that's genius.
this reminds me of seripop's erase errata poster.

i'd like to see more posters like this.
The poster works regardless of the explanation but I like reasons as well. The burned edges are a great element. I certainly would stop to look at this.
I wanted to do something that called into question the impermanence of Rock Posters as an artform.. their origin is that they were designed to be seen in public spaces and grab one's attention, a lot of work went into making them, but maybe next week they'll be torn down and replaced by something else...and as a paper artifact, a carelessely tossed match and its all just a memory anyways..I also like the idea of a lot of negative space of the clean white paper marred by the actual fire burned edge. "Low Tech Low Brow"..and finally, the long horizontal nature of the piece recalls something else that gets smoked.. to get High on Fire
