I don't like the half banner either (when seen alone). this was one of three posters made for NYE at the Metro. I did one, Steve Sleeve did the other and Myra from Schubas did one. the banner and border shape connected all three posters to make them look cool all lined up and stuff. I don't have images of the other posters - otherwise it would make a lot more sense.

I like everything about this poster XCEPT that half banner that shoots in from the left side and cover the faces. Shoulda tucked that info in somewhere else.
