Is it fucked up if I tell you that I have one of these but when I was in high school I ran it through the laminating machine in my print shop? It still looks great but I'm sure it loses some of it's luster...
this was a real early silkscreen and most of them where off register as we had no idea what the fuck we where doing yet. they are also printed on scrap paper thats different sizes.
a pristine one is really rare. we fucked this run up!
yeah, snowpony...ugh. i remember not liking them. 'loveless' was probably the pinnacle of all their careers. funny enough-i'm actually listening to it right now, before this even came up on the randomizer.
kevin sheilds spoent too much time and too much oney trying to top that album, and subsequently the label went under, and all his bandmates quit. he's a real perfectionist, i hear. he still pops up every now and then, remixing stuff. my ears rang for 4 days after this show.
back in the high school i once read a write up on frank in rolling stone, and one of the posters shown was this one. i remember cutting it out and taping it to my trapper keeper or whatever the hell those things are, with the clips, three ring binders? anyways, definitely the first and possibly the best inspiration in my life.
thanks for listening :-)
