This is screenprinted. 23 x 17 on clay coated stock. UV inks.
The image speaks for itself. Very unoriginal and completely cashing in on pop iconagraphy.
And yet, it makes perfect sense.
its cool you like it. thats great art. both to get a neg or positive response. for me. i see it as unoriginal. but its all cool. just an opinion. everyone has one. none is more valid than another.
All im just trying to say is that this one is GREAT. ALL that cashing in on icons talk is old. weve had that debate before. This is POP culture- whaddya want?!
I agree. this ones the best. Then scrojos blow up gal.
*Timothy J* You can check out The Fakes' hard rockin' tunes at http://www.thefakesrock.com Make sure to go to the reviews link for their first review in NY Waste magazine. You can download their songs and see all of the flyers and posters that I've done for them as well.
Thanks for the kind words:) Justin manages a great band, here...really 'smart' music. As far as the design, I could introduce you all to this lady I know who's an old HIPPIE in her 50s, and she will lay out very detailed 'evidence' that Hendrix was an alien being. You listen to that guitar solo at the end of 'Bold As Love'...and man you gotta wonder...
This poster rules, Jermaine is the Man! He did this poster for the band I manage, The Fakes. He's got the best concepts of the genre in my opinion. The Beatles, Morrison and Hendrix as aliens or "fakes". Brilliant. I am in your forever in your debt, JR.
