It is really just a goat/stach combo. Nothing major. I had a really long braidable viking goat just before you and I met. It was a thing of beauty.
My wife would divorce me if I grew a full beard... which i would actually like to grow.
Smithgrind,
Bravo. You identified somebody's source material, you tiny friggin tyrant.
And this actually comes from a 1905 issue of Collier's Weekly, not Harper's you douche.
I'm pretty sure the lads are safe from getting sued.
Track down all of Terry Gilliam's Victorian source material for his Python animations, and inform him of his unforgivable thievery. Most of that stuff was fresher than this when Terry used it.
Whoa, guys! Whoa! We weren't trying to be uncool or illegal. We never claimed this as our illustration, just a nice representation of blood, death and poison... ya' know, Hatebreed shit. Being that the drawing is almost 100 years old, i'm pretty sure the copyright has expired by now. funny beard stuff though!
Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure what the rules where but now that you are here I'll just ask you if I have a question.
I think this is the first time this has ever happened.
I'm not convinced, because first of all I don't know who Terry Harper is, nor do I care. Secondly, this illustration is not some universal symbol that the majority of people would recognize.
This is called stealing folks, and is very uncool and highly illegal.
"smithgrind --
Yeah, nice rip off! This is an illustration for Harper's Weekly called "Death's Laboratory".
Type doesn't fit either."
I think that the piece was INTENTIONALLY taken from Harper's Weekly as a nod to the Promoter, Terry Harper.
Htebreed is one of my favorite bands. I don't have a goatee and have never bashed a fag.
I am over 30 though so maybe I should grow a beard and beat up some gay people. Otherwise I might be a considered a poser by the other Hatebreeders.
