Yeah. This is 2 clip art images layered on top of each other. Probably our most straight forward use of it. Usually we alter the art quite a bit to make it our own.
I did add the star though.
Genius!
OK, Chachi... I was playing with you guys, too.... pretty much have been all morning... :-D
Can you feel the love?
I have to go pack some crappy, no-concept posters to ship to some customers.... let's do this again tomorrow, eh?

hahaha!! C'mon, it's STILL Jacque Penney... maybe you can find a correlation between clothing hang tags and gig posters, but I can't.
I know that this is my PERSONAL preference and I don't try to push that on anyone else. Other people DID like this poster, so who am I to say it blows? At least when I did say what I thought of it, I explained why which is much more than is being done in the other comments I've read like "this is a bad poster."
Yes, I did, Lure. I usually do not, but I wanted to make a point.
I just don't see much point in saying stuff like that, but it seems that this is the accepted thing to do.
Critiques don't seem to be based on technical issues, they are subjective to personal tastes, right? So maybe I need to start critiquing more than I normally do.
Ya think?
And I think this looks like a hang-tag on a pique knit shirt in JC Penneys, but I didn't think my personal tastes applied to whether or not it's designed well so I felt no need to tell everyone "this is a bad poster" like joe is doing on the Shazam poster. Does that make sense?
Clay had told me one time that "It has to have date/venue information on it to pass as a gig poster. Clay would not post my Jon Spencer because it only had a sentence on it. That's what they wanted! Oh well. Nice design.
oh yeah...might just be the time of day & my last two visitors' fault...but this rules right now...just what i needed to see, cheers AA...
but where & when are they playing?
