thanks for the comments! printing this was a huge pain (and this is a scan of the print, not a digital mockup)... first it's 9.5 x 25, and i only have 20 x 24 screens, so the top and bottom had to be printed seperately. the bottom was printed with the blue background first. then the brown/green split. the green is really transparent, so the original plan was to have the brown/green overprint the brown/blue to get the mid tone. but i did some tests and realized that looked like crap, and was going to be a nightmare because of the dark paper. i really didn't feel like doing a white base, so i think for most of the prints i had to do pull pull dry pull pull to get the green opaque enough, even after adding some white to it. so anyway, the brown/blue split was printed on top of the brown/green, and is a halftone where they overlap to let some of the green show through. i think my next print will be a nice easy thing with two solid colors on white :)
