"As your attorney I advise you to drive at top speed. It'll be a goddamned miracle if we arrive before you turn into a wild animal."
Sorry I've been watching Fear and Loathing again lately and the lawyer talk reminded me of that line.
This poster is cool.
Michael--
--as your lawyer...i regret to inform you that i TOTALLY missed my flight.
i was at Buffalo Wild Wings.
pretty slick operation they run there....
...we will chat later this week.
.click click...no big whoop
PS.....how come you dont do any John Cougar posters?
To be honest, until now ... I didn't even think about the Spoon poster. Obviously I have seen that before, but it's not like I intentially ripped that design. The Supertones are a ska band that wear long sleeved white button up shirts with black ties. I thought it made sense. Oh heck. Michael, go ahead and send me the papers from the lawyer regarding the patent on the shirt with tie clipart ... we are screwed. Sorry dudes, hope no one is pissed, honestly I don't think it's a big deal ... much love and respect to AA of course!
Tell Dan to send me better quotes next time - word on the street was you were searching a patent on cmyk this past year. Every batch is getting better and better this year - serious hot streak.
Same goes for the Asterik boys so I am going to leave the discussion on this fine piece. I dig them both.
Kick to the ass great!
I would prefer to think they had seen it (we all read the same mags after all and that Spoon poster was in so many I was sick of seeing it - hee hee) and didn't worry about it as there is no copyright on folded shirts and ties and this applies perfectly to their concept and it doesn't nick the AA concept which was a similar image but totally different reference.
Having BS'd all that - the checkerboard makes me miss my old van slip ons.
For the record: this is awesome.
AA's Spoon poster is also awesome.
Let's not get into the fact that they both have a folded shirt with a tie. That concept fits both of the bands in totally different ways.
It's over before it's begun.
