I'm guessing it's a poster from '96 but the jpg was digitally marked with the date 2002 because that's when the jpg was created. It's not the poster that's copyrighted, it's the jpg.
Am I close, Suburban?
Wow! Monoshock loks like you got me beat, damn! This poster still has yet to be figured out doesn't it? The closest yet to the answer is Replika. The clues: 1). Date of show is not of 2002
2). Poster is dated 2002
Now what could this mean? Start the clock!
Okay, Sub. I'll take it that "Laughing Hyenas" is a universal name or something but you still haven't explained the screwy dates on this and the NYE RFTC poster. Enquiring minds want to know!
You need to do a Strokes poster for Feb. 37, 2004, Sub! Anything with the Strokes warrants at least 56 posts.
SUBURBAN: this poster has 13 comments on it. How could it even be considered for most controversial? I had a White Stripes poster that had 83 comments and it didn't even get poster of the week! Go figure that one out!
Whoa fella's! There is no copyright on this poster nor do I sell any of them. This is a band from phoenix AZ. They're 'laughing hyenas' not 'the laughing hyenas'. I know it's pretty much the same name but it's not my band. Paint as a frangrance is an old album but the club wanted what they wanted. Geeeez.
If this is the same LAUGHING HYENAS from Detoit, I know this band. They were playing from early 80's till mid 90's. I had no idea that they were back together again. I will check it out because they were a great band. What I find odd about this poster is that it is copyrighted 2002 and March 5th falls on a Tuesday... hmmm. Is this one of those posters that some artist/designers do just to do and really don't have relevance to anything other than being a nice piece of art. I'm not saying this is one but I do believe that there are a lot of those type on this site and as I pointed out in an earlier discussion, this is what will bring the walls crashing down on this whole artform. Nice poster. Whats the story?
