PlantweedSend Plantweed a message :   Another band calling themselves "Laughing Hyenas"? Heresy!!!   2004-03-11 11:51:06
JGexSend JGex a message :   That's OK, Suburban... wasn't expecting a prize!

suburbanSend suburban a message :   Right on the money Poster Mistress. I didn't scan it until a month ago. And I will admit that I did 'touch up' the color do to fading. Sorry I can't offer a monetary reward, maybe next time.   2002-02-11 07:50:25
BasilSend Basil a message :   Or else, Suburban just got caught with his hands in the cookie jar, so to speak...and kinda just wants to move on.... its cool.   2002-02-09 15:55:06
JGexSend JGex a message :   I'm guessing it's a poster from '96 but the jpg was digitally marked with the date 2002 because that's when the jpg was created. It's not the poster that's copyrighted, it's the jpg.
Am I close, Suburban?

suburbanSend suburban a message :   RFTC poster has been laid out 'gooch'? Read on.   2002-02-09 12:10:33
suburbanSend suburban a message :   Wow! Monoshock loks like you got me beat, damn! This poster still has yet to be figured out doesn't it? The closest yet to the answer is Replika. The clues: 1). Date of show is not of 2002 2). Poster is dated 2002 Now what could this mean? Start the clock!   2002-02-09 12:09:21
lureSend lure a message :   ok, i see now. mar 5 is a tuesday.   2002-02-08 14:58:33
lureSend lure a message :   what's screwy about the date on this?   2002-02-08 14:56:19
goochSend gooch a message :   Okay, Sub. I'll take it that "Laughing Hyenas" is a universal name or something but you still haven't explained the screwy dates on this and the NYE RFTC poster. Enquiring minds want to know!
Besides... You need to do a Strokes poster for Feb. 37, 2004, Sub! Anything with the Strokes warrants at least 56 posts.

tornadoSend tornado a message :   Most controversial poster to date on THIS site? Gotta be this one: http://gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=4618   2002-02-08 11:17:10
Darren GrealishSend Darren Grealish a message :   SUBURBAN: this poster has 13 comments on it. How could it even be considered for most controversial? I had a White Stripes poster that had 83 comments and it didn't even get poster of the week! Go figure that one out! D   2002-02-08 11:05:28
REPLIKASend REPLIKA a message :   I still dont get the March 5th thing...The only times recently it coulda happened is 85 or 96. When was this show?   2002-02-08 09:26:30
suburbanSend suburban a message :   Vote this poster for the 'most controversial' because as the saying goes, 'all publicity is good publicity'!   2002-02-08 09:25:09
suburbanSend suburban a message :   Very keen eye you have, but it still is not a 'copyright'.   2002-02-08 09:18:10
JGexSend JGex a message :   Just a thought, but could that be a digital watermark and not an actual part of the poster?   2002-02-08 08:30:41
Dusty!Send Dusty! a message :   i dont mean to perpetuate this but it clearly says 2002 on the side of the poster   2002-02-08 08:06:01
suburbanSend suburban a message :   Whoa fella's! There is no copyright on this poster nor do I sell any of them. This is a band from phoenix AZ. They're 'laughing hyenas' not 'the laughing hyenas'. I know it's pretty much the same name but it's not my band. Paint as a frangrance is an old album but the club wanted what they wanted. Geeeez.

goochSend gooch a message :   Hmmm, indeed. What's the dealio? and "paint as fragrance" is a way old single. Is somebody pulling our collective legs? Hee,hee...   2002-02-07 09:45:12

JermaineSend Jermaine a message :   Man, Mark...youre on the ball. That is true...I checked it myself. Maybe this poster was originally made years ago for a show and this guy reprinted it for sales purposes?   2002-02-07 09:35:48
wardogSend wardog a message :   It's there in real fine type along the right hand edge. There were only Sunday, March 5th's in 1989, 1995 and 2006..... thank the spirits for perpetual calenders   2002-02-07 09:17:43
philaarts.comSend philaarts.com a message :   good point mark,
i dont see the copyright 2002 but then again, my mom said id go blind if i did it too much
  2002-02-07 09:09:41
wardogSend wardog a message :   If this is the same LAUGHING HYENAS from Detoit, I know this band. They were playing from early 80's till mid 90's. I had no idea that they were back together again. I will check it out because they were a great band. What I find odd about this poster is that it is copyrighted 2002 and March 5th falls on a Tuesday... hmmm. Is this one of those posters that some artist/designers do just to do and really don't have relevance to anything other than being a nice piece of art. I'm not saying this is one but I do believe that there are a lot of those type on this site and as I pointed out in an earlier discussion, this is what will bring the walls crashing down on this whole artform. Nice poster. Whats the story?   2002-02-07 09:05:22
El Negro Magnifico!Send El Negro Magnifico! a message :   Is that the band with the Blues Explosion-type vibe? I didn't know they were still together. Cool poster regardless...subtle use of arrows.   2002-02-06 22:49:31
