This image is awesome. The layout & balance is top notch. It's challenging to repeatedly use the same palette- probably the most commonly-used palette- and still come up with fresh ways to pull it off. This rules. Drawsomething can go fellate himself.
I'm know who drawsomething is. I figured it out after looking at some past posts and comments and what Rob's saying is correct.
Post under your real name you jealous piece of shit.
I'm 98% sure who drawsomething is. From his comments he seems to have a predeliction towards Detroit bands, and from his solitary post in the forums, he appears to deal in posters. Think about it for a minute, and it's pretty obvious.
Slater used some different criteria and came to the same conclusions.
If he wants to call my stuff shit, he ought to have the balls to do it without (at this point) a useless pseudonym. Maxflo has the same gripes, but presents it in a civilized way.
what a douche.
Nice work Rob. This is a pretty cool venue for them to be playing. They announced the show pretty quietly. My friend got tickets and really didn't have to wait in line very long to get them.
Don't get too psyched. A series isn't a given. They may not ask me to do too many posters this time around. We'll just have to wait and see how approvals go.
I did get to design a fair amount of merch for Europe and new items for the American tour. I'll post some pics when I get a hold of the actual product.
i love that you can continue to make interesting new posters while staying within the clear theme of the band's aesthetic... that seems tough, but you always pull it off.
20X26 2 color on heavy ass paper. This was originally designed to come with 4 handbills that showed her actually making the drum using some old-ass drill and a file. Those were nixed.
