I wanted an image that epitomized the height of 1970's technology to go with the band that represented the height of 1970's music technology.... The image is taken from the Pioneer Voyager space craft, launched in the early 1970's. This metal plaque was the first intergalactic poster to leave the solar system, carrying a message of hope from the human race to other worlds. At the same time Kraftwerk left their country to play their pioneering music around the world. Perhaps one day their music will reach a distant star as well. The plaque is still headed in the direction of the nearest galaxy. It should reach it in about 2 million years... or it might make it to your living room wall..
