I like the extra hand cradeling the baby. It makes you wonder whats going on outside of the visible frame and that's what is creating an interesting story and adding mystery.

I think it could work as an illustration if it was like really simplified. Maybe just silhouettes of the figures and baby. I don't think the line drawings that we know Rob for would work as well as this does because I associate so much humor with his drawings and I don't think they would fit the mood of this one. I like the grit in the photos and I think it's a brilliant idea.

18X24 full bleed (no pun intended) on some blue tinged grey speckletone paper. 3 color with metallic inks (silver for the type and hand, and a rusty copper for the blood. I wanted it to look like it tastes).
