Actually Speed, I'm the one who illustrated the Coop crap. I've been drawing like that for quite some time - long before I heard the name 'Coop'. I don't mind the comment, but at least make a reasonable comparison/slag.
I figured it was offset, but a friend of mine does pretty good halftone/fourcolor separations with screenprinting, so i thought you might have done it that way. Either way it's great...and even though it's not diecut it still looks great.
it's offset, and there's a black border you can't see here. having it diecut would have been very cool, but, alas, not enough money. and, i guess it is a nod to vaughn, didn't realize it before, but i'd say that was an influence.
I dont' think the illustrated ones are like coop at all...their illustrators have their own styles, just coz the lines make good use of thicks and thins like Coop doesn't make it like his. I've never been to the supper club but a friend of mine told me about it in detail and from what she said, this does seem like it would fit it perfectly. Goes with Low nicely too. Two questions: offset or screenprinted really nicely? How did you shape the paper? by hand or machine?
perfect for the supper club, i like the diversity of all yer entries. get of thaat coop crap though, all yer others are much cooler, but that may just be me.
