weird coincidence... saturday was cold and rainy so i went rummaging at ye' ole local Bizzaro comic shop and picked up Pie by Cerio... same "Post-LSD children's book style", but i didn't know who he was... gee whiz...

Cloe! I was hoping to lure Cerio himself in here to comment, which, from what little I can tell, he doesn't do too much. He and I have been good friends for over a dozen years. :-) Hell, he's sleeping on my inflatable guest mattress the next time he comes into the City, which will probably be in a couple weeks. |

Okay, calm down everyone, the above comment is aimed at Steve and he knows what I'm talkin' about. :-D What I can say about this poster is once again, he matches a counterintuitive typographic approach--including typefaces that exist only at the end of his pen-tip--with the most explosive illustration style in poster design. One of the most unique, outstanding voices in poster art. |

This makes me smile..It also has a real familiar feel..there are elements in in it you'll find in Steve's Residents Icky Flix posters from last year..The image total matches the band..fearless frogs on rockets..what a blast this is!..I know what you mean Speed..I have NF pieces that don't say much to me but the 'Fillmore' type was so coolly designed it demanded attention... |

Here is a good example of a poster that Is Illustrated well, designed well has good typography and a well thought out color scheme.
It may not be everyones taste, but it's very well done. |

Lots of fun! The only bad thing, and it's soooo minor and personal, is that I would give the fillmore a little mo' respect in letter size. But damn, nice execution, and fun to just stare at. Good work...way to make me feel inferior, you jerk :) (god I can't believe I just made that symbol) |
