MaximumFluorideSend MaximumFluoride a message :   No it's not. But it's true. This might be the worst poster on this site. And I spelled out why. So, I have been constructive and now I'll be negative. It's crap.   2008-02-06 21:11:57
fantasygoatSend fantasygoat a message :   That's not very constructive, Mike.   2008-02-06 21:02:49

vibraniumSend vibranium a message :   ya, it's sad - in the examples lure mentioned.
BTW- also sad: i have no life, so i notice primes instead of the proper puncuation. {sigh)

Dusty!Send Dusty! a message :   "adobe illustrator doesn't have smart quotes, you gotta do it manually."
it actaully does type> smart punctuation> smart qoutes
you have to highlight the text you want to change. so you type it in with out using yoour "command [" and then highlight the text and then go to the smart punctuation option.

lureSend lure a message :   the apostrophe thing is something designers are nitpicky about. it's been driving me nuts for years! those things are (as someone pointed out to me the other day) called primes. in a way it doesn't bother me here. the feel of the piece is kinda intentionally naive. but when you see in very expensive tv spots (and you see it all the time) it just drives me nuts.
adobe illustrator doesn't have smart quotes, you gotta do it manually.

( i wrote that when i was distracted) Lure knew what i meant cuz he's heard me go off on that before. but, yeah, apostrophies. and its knitpicking...my bad spelling.
i'm bugged by the misuse of foot and inch marks in place of apostrophies and quote marks... "
lol.. i think its knitpicking a little bit... its like if you said tomayto and he say tomahto (phoenics)..
you know what the poster is doing.. so id say your knitpicking.. :)
but you do that SO well lol..
just playing around!

vibraniumSend vibranium a message :   >>Don't give me any it's art do what you want bullshit<< well said. where were you the other day when rb and torando were giving me the business?
Seriously Pete. Well said - and i applaud you taking a stand - even if it ends up being an unpopular one. I agree with your sentiment 100%

Nolen StralsSend Nolen Strals a message :   I have to agree...if I was a 40 oz. swilling dropkicks fan and I saw this at a distance I'd just think it was for the Mod/Brit Pop Dance night at a local club and just keep on walking.   2002-01-14 07:50:43

peter cardosoSend peter cardoso a message :   I like the poster but definatly NOT for these bands. This is as far away from there visual images as you can possiably get.Don't give me any it's art do what you want bullshit, cause the fact is this just does not work on any level for advertising purposes.   2002-01-14 07:48:45

BlueJellyBeanSend BlueJellyBean a message :   Don't know the band but went in search to see if I could find the connection..nope..but I got distracted by lyrics to The Spicy McHaggis Jig.. "Spicy was big, burly and strong his pipes were gigantic, and so was his schlong from city to city running around looking for chicks over four hundred pounds" I'd love to see some artwork based on that..
  2002-01-13 14:29:48
MaximumFluorideSend MaximumFluoride a message :   Here is a classic example of the artwork not fitting the bands. I'm not sure why you would use this image for bands that are so blatently punk? I DO NOT MEAN THIS AS A BASH...I am just very currious. You may had a reason that I'm not getting..
Help!
