All the posters here on the site seem perfectly legit. I've done plenty of posters that were comissioned by the band to just be for that single band. As a mtter of fact I'm doing an entire tour right now that simply lists the band, venue and date. AND they are being sent and used as promo so don't try and play that bullshit card. Having a price and other bands never qualified a poster as legit and not having them isn't wierd. You guys harping on him are being way nutty about this. This guy has no reason to have to defend himself. What's with the dog pile? Find something really problematic to jump on like someone stealling art but not something like real posters that don't fit your criteria for "legit."

wow. i cant believe all of this discussion. I am a new grad, my ads on my site are my student ad portfolio (hence my advertising design major) and all of the posters that are on this site are real and have been either given to the members of the bands, been designed by the direction of the bands. The arcade fire one was just an omage to them. I love their music and would love to do work for them and I was just going to send them the image to see if they wanted to use it to help promote their show. I do not sell prints or even get paid for any of these posters. The most I get out of anything is free tickets to shows of bands I like. Im simply trying show people what I can do and share design with this community that I thought was all about appreciating good design, but I guess people are reading way too into things and making empty, uneducated assumptions. Im just a designer trying to make it like the rest of you so please give me a break here, I have done nothing wrong.

Look dude, if you ARE looking to make some posters to pad out your portfolio, there are lots of legitimate ways to do it. Theres always local bands that could use some free work (if youre doing fictitious posters, youre working for free anyway and at least this way someone gets something out of it) and good ones at that. I dont know for sure that you are. But if you are, theres better ways to build a portfolio. Jes sayin.

i think this guy's posters are fake for a few reasons a) apart from 3 posters for shows in horthhampton all the posters he has up are for diffrent cities, right there that is kinda weird. b)the lack of info on most of these posters. no opening bands listed , no price , no set time , no promoter's credit , nada just the headliner , date , venue and city. having the city on a poster is pretty unusual. i really get the feeling that these are portfolio padding
