Thanks Slater, means alot comin from ya as I am a HUGE fan.
I wish it were screenprinted too, but alas, we have no budget. So I try to make it look as un-digital as possible under the constraints. Sometimes it works better than it does at other times.
I like the concept alot and I like all the textures and such that are in your posters.
For me personally I wish it was screenprinted and some of the elements were less photoshopie? I dunno if that makes sense.
Still, good job and congrats on POTW.
I'm only commenting on this as it is "poster of the week", but it's a messy headache as far as i can see. I don't get it? I spose i tend towards handdrawn stuff anyway, and am therefore best ignored. Yep!
Hahahah.
Naw, thats cool man.
Ive only been doin posters for a few months now. Ive got a long way to go to bein the kind of poster artist I wanna be.
Still trying to find my style.
Still though, its very encouraging and Im very grateful to mista Clay for the vote of confidence, whatever it may be based on.
Dude, you should've gotten all defensive and insulted those who criticized this poster. You'd get waaay more comments. Shame on you for being rational.
I like it, and congratulations!
Max, I could see where you are coming from.
I still like the color palette, attention to detail in the lions paw, and the concept is right.
But like I said earlier... I could understand where you are coming from.
Why do you think Clay gave this POTW?
The blood drops are a good place to start. The lions paw would be the next. mix those two with the photographic looking halftoned hand and it starts falling apart pretty quickly.
