Yes, beautiful is a strong word but that is the word best associated with this poster. Everyone seems to be talking about shaking up the poster art world, this is it! Great work Jermaine!
Jermaine,
This was in the O/S collection, it looks pretty good in person, and also ads another arm to your style... if thats possible.
You should do more paintings...!!
Thanks again for the kind words, here. Ive wondered whether I should do more of my stuff painted.
But um...'beautiful' is a strong word...maybe too strong.
Really, thanks.
the way ive used to get painterly effects with silkscreen is by just using drawing fluid and screen filler. sometimes if you spray the screen with a fine mist of water, the drawing fluid will spread out making it look like a painting... also, if you had the time and energy, you could do a series of monoprints using plexiglass or zinc plates, then screen print the text on top of it...
No...its offest.
Im currently to find a way to screenprint my paintings as concert posters...and I admit that the whole process is a bit intimidating. Can anyone offer any advice?
schweeeeeeet
jermaine and i always talk about my love of oil and acrylic paintings.
old school brushes and paints.. my real love... when he sent me this image i was in love.. i mean i love illustrations, and layouts, etc.. love it all
but for me painting is the most organic type of medium..
love it jermaine :)
ps, you still suck! where did you hide my goat!!!
weird. it looks like a poster for a play or some indie film or something. different for a concert...especially Clutch. i'd expect to see hot-rods or something. way to push da envelope!
