5RockSend 5Rock a message :   "expect fun, you might learn how it runs..." that album rules.   2002-09-17 09:59:12

Dusty!Send Dusty! a message :   no you're right its on matador... wowee zoweee - thumbs down   2002-09-17 09:55:12
5RockSend 5Rock a message :   ... I may be wrong about the Matador thing, come to think of it... did they release his album or did he move?   2002-09-17 09:51:11
5RockSend 5Rock a message :   oh christ!... wowee zowee is a STUNNING album.   2002-09-17 09:50:05
5RockSend 5Rock a message :   ... I know Stephen was a major creative force behind the band... just the whole stink surrounding the album left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Seems like Matador saw teen idol/radioplay potential, and set the marketing wheels in motion.   2002-09-17 09:49:18
Dusty!Send Dusty! a message :   you overlooked pavement for polvo?! crooked rain crooked rain and slanted and enchanted are 2 amazing albums, check them... the rest of their catalog personally is pretty hit or miss (most of it misses)   2002-09-17 09:48:41
jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   I never got into Pavement. Was to bust oohing and ahhing over POLVO at the time.   2002-09-17 09:46:31
Dusty!Send Dusty! a message :   yeah but i think the demise of pavement was not just malkmus' decision i think it was a something decided as a whole. spiral stairs is now in the preston school of industry.... i dunno   2002-09-17 09:44:16
5RockSend 5Rock a message :   This is a pretty nice poster that could have been nicer if not for the insistance of the Malkmus/Matador camp in using Stephen's mug in all of the promotions for that album... which, by the way, seems to me like a last-ditch effort to pad his retirement fund by tossing his comrades aside (since they eat into the profits) and producing what can only be described as a mediocre Pavement album without Pavement... for shame.   2002-09-17 09:36:59
