Hahahaha Nick, I owe you lunch or dinner or something.
This is the funniest joke i've every been involved with. James the DFP office guy and i came up with this wacky idea and then the rest of the shop went along with it.
The poster is for Nick's (the guy in brown, also our poster printer at the shop) most recent show, I think it was thursday night. So it was for a real show. I wish we'd had time to post some up around the club it was at.
We wanted to see what he would do if we just made some odd poster for one of his shows and put em up and posted them here. He reads the forums here at night.
nice work intimate republic.. and uh, mark. are you hiring by chance? here's some of my work-
nevermind the "designer" that's listed - i totally drew that a year ago. hit me back.
You don't think this comment is funny? "We are a new design Collective in Portland made up of PNCA grads and almost grads. Glad you guys like are first poster, we will have Digital Offsets available on our website for $20.00 in a few days."
I mean, I know Frank's lawyers are laughing,...!
Thanks!!! Mark did the illustration about a year ago, he's part of Intimate Republic too."
If Mark did this a year ago you guys need to sue the jesus outta that Kozik jerk. he figured out how to totally rip off your future ideas for this lame ass Killdozer poster. Go get him.
When our site goes up his email address will be email@example.com. We can use as much work as we can get. Right now we are just picking shows and doing posters for them. One day we would like to get paid for what we do.
im allll about being influenced by other artists and lets face it rock poster art is very much about the cut and paste esthetic but correct me if im wrong and Im not being a dick I really mean it, isnt this a frank kozik poster for kill dozer?
