I think at his best, hess is amazing, but this isn't doing it for me. The drawing skill is still there, but the composition, type and finish are all seriously lacking.

I tend to agree. Its great that hes gotten international success, but I dont see the big deal either. His work always seems kinda dry and uninvolving to me. Thats (again) just my worthless 2¢.

It's been said before but I don't rate Hess at all. I have seen better work at local sixth form colleges. I never understood the appeal.

yeah...i can definitely say i've been a big fan of his work since the first time i saw it (without knowin who did it). not too big on the jesus theme, but i still love this one aside from that.

i'm not into this jesus thing and sometimes i wonder where in fact it's coming from but i can't deny the talent that hess has.
i am not diggin' that type. that needs to go. it's too stiff for the illo.
