jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   looks like the same kind of texture as the background of this website he did

jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   i know what paper looks like...it looks like a paper background and not actually paper...and I doubt this is a pic of an offset print as the border is all geometrically perfect...but hey, believe what you want.   2005-01-20 17:26:03

john_fuzSend john_fuz a message :   If Kurt can weigh in? I would be willing to bet that the crackle background is the paper - maybe a coronado stipple (I know - paper nerd... and I said "stipple.)
From his other work I am guessing it is offset printing. As for what I liked about it. It is just a moody little bitch of a piece. Evocative of bands that I don't know anything about but can surmise what they sound like from the poster. Also, I may have had big titty overload from half of the posters on the site and just needed a zen moment.

john_fuzSend john_fuz a message :   you are allowed to know the bands and venue but the reason for it being good is the "secret."   2005-01-19 21:20:21
RichieGoodtimesSend RichieGoodtimes a message :   I'm not being designery. I only rip on Peveto cause it's my mission in life to hurt himas much as possible.   2005-01-19 20:31:16
jasoncrossSend jasoncross a message :   i see the minimal attempt but I think the crackle background and the font choices really loose any simplicity that could have been used...looks like something that is trying to be screenprinted but isnt...and ultimately I think it doesn't succeed...learn to screenprint...it not rocket science...and ink is edible if your hungry.   2005-01-19 19:19:25
whiteyhoustonSend whiteyhouston a message :   and.. yeah.. peveto wouldn't do this.. I know   2005-01-19 18:43:02
whiteyhoustonSend whiteyhouston a message :   Richies gone all fruitycup designery on us now... what the shit.. If peveto did this you'd rip his ass open   2005-01-19 18:42:22

RichieGoodtimesSend RichieGoodtimes a message :   Do you really think that or do you just like to hear yourself talk.
This seems like one of those 'is' things to me.
How can you critique something that just 'is?'

twelvevoltSend twelvevolt a message :   it's just slightly off center enough for be to be bugged by this one. typeface probably would have been a little better with a simple helvetica neue or something.   2005-01-19 18:30:24
john_fuzSend john_fuz a message :   sucker for the simple stuff. I don't know any of these bands but I have a feeling of what I would be getting in to. Nice work.   2005-01-19 07:29:54
