John's critique of this is right on. but in person it doesn't really look quite as "tacked on" - but the jpg it really bothers me. thanks and good nite.
hey zach - no sweat. i feel better now that i inspired a billy squier reference. we should all be so cursed with a green-faced chicken loving albatross.
but that wasnt the way i meant it. I just stared at this poster for hours before printing it, and knew i would get shit for the nose. I took the black circle out and it didn't gel for me, so I put that thing back in, and there you go.
Sorry if i came across that way. i got deadlines at work, so my mood is wack. I have to escape that stupid chicken leg poster some day.
touchy. Lets call it a frame. Stroke is waaay sexier though.
I assume it's the way you wanted. I just don't think it holds together in the same sense that your green boy and chicken leg does.
I'll take my fuck-off like a man.
Not to be a dick or anything, but the ball isn't "stroked", it's actually pretty gnarly when you get up close, and if you want to talk about "effective" and "cohesive style", well I can back up my decisions all day. THIS IS THE WAY I WANTED IT TO LOOK. I stick by my decisions. hoser.
I like this in general but I think it would have been much more effective without the stroke around the red ball. If the ball were a little more halftone messy and overlapped a little like it was slapped on would have been a touch more cohesive style-wise.
