SuperMilkSend SuperMilk a message :   Yeah, maybe simply a white background. The colors/ would pop.
Also, If the text was treated better this would be superb

slacks ferretSend slacks ferret a message :   I like the drawing, but I don't like the background fonz. AYYYYY. Sit on it!   2004-11-19 19:17:49
l.stalionsSend l.stalions a message :   yes, your perspective is awesome. i think the smoke is killer but i agree that the type on the rest of it doesn't work...it's too clean! and the background needs something. i can understand that you wanted him in the middle of nowhere but nowhere doesn't mean nothing.   2004-10-30 23:14:37
ShinyBlueRobotSend ShinyBlueRobot a message :   Ever since I joined this site I've been looking forward to criticism. So thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate it. My initial intention was to have a splintered wood grain in the background. But the more I played with the background - the more I realized that I liked it simple with no sand or wood texture. I didn't want it too busy. I think the background works well since it fades into nothing like his shadow and the smoke. I wanted the cowboy to be wandering in the middle of nowhere with a gas can. Maybe it's my use of gradients that seems off? As for the gun, I suppose a hand drawn text might have been a nicer touch but I wanted a classic Colt 45 look and the font seemed nice and crisp. I find lettering to be the hardest part of the gig poster. When I look at my older posters I can see where they have problems and I imagine I'll see the problems in this one after a few weeks. Trial and error.   2004-10-29 18:23:49

dspringSend dspring a message :   great picture... I like the text n the smoke, but I think the other text comes up a bit short for such a cool drawing... does not seem to jibe with the rest...   2004-10-29 09:37:24
