I'm not a big Hampton fan. I checked out his site yesterday and there is not much (some though) I would want to own. The ones I did like were mostly unavailable. But the truth is, this man has some extreme talent. His inclusion of (I assume) the bands faces is done very well. In fact, yes I would like to own this one and his MM one. In this world of so many rock poster artists he stands out to me as a "real artist". His subject matter is not always MY cup of tea, but what I wouldn't give to have this kind of talent. Great work, Justin. I hope to meet you one day. You inspire me.

Wow, that's really cool that it hangs in the Hard Rock out there. I've also heard tale that my Pavement poster hangs in the New York Hard Rock Cafe. I'll have to check the next time that I'm in the Big Apple. The reason that Bob Dylan poster is so hard to find is, Artrock(the publisher of the print), got a cease and disist order from Dylan's management due to some undisclosed conflict before they were even half gone(in a run of 500). Somewhere there's stack of those babies sealed up collecting dust but the powers that be won't let them see the light of day. Sucks.

FYI..This hangs in the Hard Rock Cafe in Indianapolis..Must mean something..Blur are like chickenpox..infectious and irritating but this is undoubtedly a great poster..especially the expressions on the faces..you know they lit the fire..A favourite piece but still Justin's solo caricatures rank higher I reckon..that Dylan..which I too am still searching for..the Nick Cave and the first PJ Harvey..2 out of the three ain't bad but I can't seem to rest without the Dylan...

This poster hangs proudly in my studio,so when I'm slaving away designing or printing i can gaze at it and remember what I'm striving to do. This is such a great poster and printed amazingly with great attention to detail.I love how Justin can do some really simple hard edge graphic like the Nick Cave and Dylan ( which I'v been tring to get my hands on unsuccsessfully for years now)then do something crAzy like this. I try to do the same mix. Great insperation!

first off, the is the most asskickingass poster if have ever seen for blur! love this one, every justin hampton is a great work!! he did a wonderful built to spill poster too... as for the slaggin back and forth.. speed apologized, and if thats not good enough, well then i guess it isnt for some... if you want to continue to harp on it, that is your right... but hey, he said somethings that people didnt agree with... just as people do on this board all the time... he said he was sorry, and theres not much he can do, then do ARTWORK... i have worked with speed many times, and is a kind dude, a very hard worker, and pulls allnighters constantly... if he did something wrong, i wouldnt say it should "haunt" him forever.. heck we all did stuff we regret for different reasons... and THANK GOD, we all were allowed to apologize, let the healing begin, and then move on... for those who dont want to.. that is your right... for me, i think we can all get 2nd, 3rd, 4th , 5th, 6th etc... chances... he has a great heart... trust me.. a good guy.. but with ALL of us here, there are people who dont like someone else for some reason... i think its ok to express dislike for people, and admiration for people... and its ok on this board, people can slag if they want, including me, basil, monoshocks, speed, etc.. that is our right.. so if you dont like speed, emek, jermaine, kozik, coop, artrock, cardoso, etc... whatever... they will still do their art, and they will still have friends that like them and vice versa.. no one out there is liked by all... just the ways of the world.. now back to this post... again, justins posters rock, check out his marilyn manson poster too!!!!

Speed, I have no sympathy. Yea, I know everyone on here is like, 'lets move on'...but you know, 'sow the storm, reap the whirlwind'. I mean, those things are just going to haunt you, man. In some folks minds youll never live it down, the way you exposed what youre reallly like. I agree when everyone said move on and drop this stuff, but I am NOT going to blame or criticize someone like MONOSHOCKS who just has to address it. Thats why its SO important to watch what you say. In 'real' life, you cant just drop it and move on.

Man I'm gonna have to step up and sling a little mud. I've heard in other areas in this website on how SPEED is passive and he's a really "cool guy". Is that when he's not talking shit about some new guy? OK...he's taught art classes. So have I. I taught the clowns at Motorola and Qualcomm on how to do advanced Photoshop. I think the thing that bums out most people is how "SPEED" comes off. If he doesn't realize how he "Comes off" then maybe he should think before he opens his big ass mouth. Now I'm sure SPEED has taken over some other towns but as far as what he said about taking over LA...... I live in Hollywood and I've never heard of him. I'm sorry if I'm excluding blink 182 and Britney posters but I haven't yet felt his quake. He might do alot of freelance but dude your no Arminski. I kind of liked your posters but when I read how you "do" others It completely chipped away at your work. You need to think about what you say. I'm sure your Ghandi but when you speak like a jackass you become a jackass in a sense. Even if your work was divine and untouchable which it isn't you still shouldn't mouth off. Stop having your friends stick up for you. Sound off like you have a pair. Man....Poster art is cool. And I dig most of what I see. And if I don't like what I see I just move on to the next page.
