I used mostly gloss varnish with a little black and blue mixed in to make sure it would look darker. probably whould have looked the same with just the varnish.

black paper is never really black, so even if you just did straight black ink, you'll see it. but you can mix a glossy base with your black... or do a pull of straight base on top of the black... that would look neato.

yeah, this is gold. actually, the new all black Delicious poster gave me the confidence to try the black on black. so it's black/gloss varnish, metallic gold, and transparent orangeish brown. it's one of my most litteral posters. there's Zebulon Pike and there's a Pelican. It's also inspired by ZZtop's First Album.
