Hey Beto, Posada is part of a huge exhibition about art from mexico at the "local" modern art museum, we screenprinted "la catrina" and a portrait of zapatta on the walls of one of the museum rooms :D (sorry, no photos yet, more info: http://www.mexique-europe.com/# )
Wanna learn more about Jose Guadalupe Posada? You should have told me, I'm proudly mexican.... Take a look at this site, there's a lot about him and his artwork.

Theres a english section too, so you won't get lost.
Cool, I didn't know that. I figured it was just an anonymous piece from the 19th century. I looked him up now and found this site: http://muertos.palomar.edu/posdad.htm#English There's more of his art over there!
si.. good ol' dia de los muertos.... that's what i went lookin' for and that's the best one i came up with. great rendering of it by the way.... i have no artistic talent so i just painted on it and threw it on there... :-(
Hey Jeremx, you're right! I've got a book about the Mexican 'Day Of Dead' (I'm not sure if that's what it's called in English but it's something like that :D ) and based my art on an old drawing in there... the one you used for your poster. :)
welp.. it's better than mine since i didn't draw a damn thing (and more reasons...) but i'm guessing i've seen where the inspiration for the drawing came from (not my poster, the original artwork..)
Thanks Claudia! :)
I'd like to add to this one that I'm only responsible for the drawing and some fine-tuning. The graphic stuff is done by the amazing David Pino of Baldadig.nl but I didn't know how to submit a poster by 2 different artists?!
