21 3/4 in. by 13 3/4 in.
Printed by Hatch Show Print in Nashville, Tennessee advertising a concert at the Minneapolis Auditorium Saturday, April 22, 1967, with June Carter, the Tennessee Three, Mother Maybelle and the Carter Family, the Statler Brothers, and Carl Perkins, laminated. Minor discoloration, corner pinholes and losses around the edges.
This performance took place on this date in April 1967, shortly after Carl Perkins joined the show. The much-adored Johnny and June duet, "Jackson," would peak at #2 on the charts in April of 1967.
Hatch Show Print also printed the very first Elvis Presley advertising posters, and to this day still uses the same letterpress printing process it has used since it began printing entertainment posters in 1879. Hatch Show Print has become a Nashville and country music institution, having been operated by the Country Music Hall of Fame since 1986, and owned by them since 1992. They have printed posters for country legends like Hank Williams, Eddie Arnold, Bill Monroe, Roy Acuff, Hank Snow, and Ernest Tubb, and continue to do so for many of today's music stars. This poster contains the most famous advertising image of Johnny Cash to date. The image of Johnny standing with the guitar would be printed on another Hatch poster, with the image ghosted and overlapped three times.
