Just busting yer balls. :D I drew a Charles Bronson Monkey Devil thing with arrows in it and I looked at it and it just was too boring compared to practically the same thing I did on my last Melvins poster.
I did this and I liked it. I thought it was a cool way to do the old "put Gene on it" solution. I admit I sorta sad you don't like it as you are the first person besides Slater's wife who recognized him. I thought the solo album blood trickle was too much of a hint, but I went with it more as a Melvins connection than anything since Buzzo uses it on his version of the cover.
I had all this Hebrew-ified Santeria stuff at the bottom and surrounding the image, then I realized I could cut all that shit out with a Menorah since Melvins has seven letters. I thought it looked more reverant simplified like this.
Going to listen to Love Gun now.

So I see what you were doing, I just think compared to the bulk of your work this is more concept than it is execution. Just my tatses here. I hope everybody else loves it. Just isn't what I love about your work is all. Nothing personal and certainly has nothing to do with the Menorah or the fact Gene is Jewish.
