Wow, JC to Camden, tough move. Next stop Hell. hehehe Unfortunately the poster just made me think of all the reasons I hate Williamsburg and the "new" Brooklyn. All the "it's bad so it's good crap." Fake ol' man bars with DJs playing songs by Bread. HOHOHO that is so funny. I always thought it would be funny if my Dad and all his trucker buddies smacked the hats of the heads of all the skinny ass poseurs.
It's actually comforting to know that you are not an artist but just a guy in a band who made a poster to get people to his show. In that case great job and keep it up. You will get better.
Jersey born and bred and I have been in Hoboken since the 80's. I must say it seems that Hoboken has faired better than Brooklyn because the transformation was more gradual. Still the yuppies are so annoying.

in short, i in no way intend to say my short time in the area equates the resentment generated by watching positive diverse scenes devolve into a masked mediocre mish-mash of commercialism, and i've reread this post about 15 times, and keep coming back to it just to say, and appreciate the look and listen
whoa... i must say i appreciate teh response. i don't live in brooklyn, don't give myself the title 'artist'. born and raised in jersey, living the past four in jersey city, witnessing the gentrifying effects and having recently left the northeast altogether. i used to bitch about it... but it goes on.
truthfully, Rockstar was the only place besides uncle joe's i could get a gig. i'm definitely not a designer either, just thought i'd throw it out on a whim, see if it got a response. and boy did it. if you wanna actually check out a couple of the tunes... check out

waiting for them to gentrify camden too.
Pretty much ever pseudo artist loser/musician that ruined NYC's best little borough. I used to love going to Brooklyn especially Williamsburg now it is no different than dealing with the yuppies who took over Hoboken. If you think you are hip or you have to tell everyone you are hip most likely you are not. Lame art and unlistenable crap in bars that were created like a Bennigan's for the MTV kiddies is not for me. Hopefully like anything the cream will rise to the top. Unfortunately you can never get back what made those neighborhoods great; diversity.
