That's cool that you read it. Here's how much more (over)thought I put into this thing. There's a story about Razorbacks (arkansas duh) but it actually came off a LA Times front page which was weird. There's a story about there being too many saloons in town. There's public announcements for concerts and plays in the park. There's ads for Guitars AND mandolins and pianos since those are all Woods Afire elements (I think). An add for a printing house AND a Syrup of FIGS ad that I didn't even have to make up. I don't think there is or ever has been a Fayetteville Times because I researched the hell outta Arkansas newspoapers to make this and never found anything decent on Fayetteville. Those elements came of some paper from The Library Of Congress. that site rules. D-O-R-K
Woods Afire are really badass. You should go get the songs offa their site and then buy their CD when it comes out.
The only Decoder ring poster I have liked yet. The explaination and the effort are one of the reasons why. The main reason I love it is that it looks nothing like what others are doing. Much like the Factor 27 pieces I liked the most. More like this please.
Hot shit, Peveto.
The Syrup of Figs was special just for Ferg and Bdix. This poster was a royal pain in the ass. first I had to composite the newspaper from a shitload of old front pages, print them on newsprint, burn the bottoms off, screen a layer of glue on a 20 x 26 sheet of cover , then screen the "now playing" which I had letterpressed on a seperate sheet to get that "authentic " feel. all those stories and ads are real and you can read them on the real poster. everywhere there was a city referenced i had to piece togehter Little Rock or Fayetteville. All the dates we're lined up too. I'm an idiot. BUT Fisher likes it!
