hey is this effect with transparent white pretty common for printers to be able to do? Are you just adding base to your inks to thin them out?
I'm doing something right now where transparent white is printed last I sort of want it at like 50% opacity tho. Anything I should know? Thanks dudes.
this was a pretty great show, a.c. newman headlined however. rogue wave was a bit generic... dare i say boring? the neins, however, stole the night for me... excellent canuck rock. kinda sounded like a cross between the new pornographers and the unicorns at times... but that could be because those are the only two canadian bands i know. oh, and the neins. i know them too. and so should you.
I want to say something really cool because this poster is so good, but since everyone else chimed in with comments, I'd only be repeating the basic sentiments. Damn, this is good!
Damn, I want to say something poignant!
thanks again guys!
rogue wave is definitely my favorite so far this year. We've been trying to add a little more detail to our posters while still keeping them simple as pie. I had alot of fun making the sheet thread bare in spots.
not really a new trick, we've used transparents and trans glosses for a while now, though your right we've been going to the hole with this a little too much lately. In all honesty this poster was done well before the Spoon poster and i feel like that Spoon poster was a really bad try to emulate what we had going on here and I wish we never did it as it was very rushed.
Yeah, we asked if we could do this for Rogue Wave instead and they said cool, cause they are blowing up pretty big in philly, and i have yet to hear the sounds of AC newman.
ANYWAY. Thank you kindly.
