Randomized Art.
Pretty remarkable that this thing is so old and holds up so well. I guess it's because so much modern poster design nurses at Art's teat.
Awesome.
you're right art, my letratone looks too clean and uniform. i'm gonna track down some dots in some of my 'source mags' that i cut up. still want to get a good print of dots one of these days...

try it. doesn't work that way. it's got to be lifted from and already printed source - printed with old letterpress on cheap paper (for that proper absobtion ratio). i wish it were as easy as you say, but it's not. doing it your way just makes it look new and tidy.
hey art, technique-wise, i looked at how i would have made the dots, and thought, "use that sheet of letratone you have! cut it up, blow it up, fuck it up!' hence, that's why i thought you used letratone.
either way, however you got the dots there, i likes it!

btw i have such a hard time screenprinting halftone dots...
clay -
you can keep it here.
BUT - only if you list that germs poster(presently anonymnous) to gary panter. it's on page one of germs posters, bottom row, center.
This was submitted a long time ago by someone who didn't know who did it. I (obviously) didn't know who did it either.
Art - should I put your name on it, or remove it?
Replika, I'd like to see it, too. I've worked with the man for years. I work on a computer. Can't get a halftone dot like the one used here by generating it in P-shop. Good luck. Tell us when you post your results!
ok, smarty-pants -
the challenge is on. do it and make it LOOK LIKE MY POSTER. betcha can't.
guarantee, it'll look 'perfect'. and THAT is my problem with computers. period.
it's not letratone. it's collaged halftone dots.
i put 'easy to do' at the bottom because this damn thing was so deceptively easy looking. it was a bitch to do, actually.
by the way, were did this come from?
