I just did a three color art print, and I had a hard time doing it. My brain works better with two colors. and no ray patterns.

i wish i did 2 colors more often. i would like to be done sooner most of the time. a lot of the times, i start out going "i'm going to make a two color poster" and after a little while, I'm like "you know what would make this two color poster look awesome? a third color! That and some sort of ray pattern."

it's yellow, then transparent dark aqua blue, then transparent light colonial blue. the light blue shades the yellow on the arrows. I'll show you seps if you want.

So, is that dark blue that you're using to shade the yellow (as in 2 blue screens and 1 yellow), or is it yellow, blue, and black?

yeah, but not too bad. i actually like that on the ultra fine halftone. the dots show up on the screen but then bleed together on the surface of the paper. it looks more like water color, especially on stuff like the smoke.
