genius is an overstatement -- but i dig the immediate impact it has (everytime i see the thumbnail, my knee jerk reaction is to take a closer look-, the feeling of scribbling in a magazine evokes lots of memories of me doing the same, drawing in band logos, etc., but most importantly, i just think the lettering is incredible. it works for me. nothing more complicated than that.
