wezzburlesqueSend wezzburlesque a message :   This one is for a local band, all instrumental. they sound somewhere between doom and prog. Erik Fratzke, the guitarist is in the band Happy Apple, local jazz freak-out faves so you can guess they are somewhat different than typical stoner sludge. Think Pelican with the dirge replaced with riff acrobatics and time changes. since they are kind of metal, I thought the somewhat hard to read ornate type was more acceptable. The type for their name is out of a Dover book but I added the 3-d with the engraving looking shadow lines coming off of it, a la money/stock certificate style. the bottom photo is from a cave in St. Paul where teens routinely go to party and have bonfires and almost yearly, somebody dies there from asphyxiation from smoke inhalation.   2004-06-07 10:55:50
